Topical issues of Russian Studies discussed at the international conference in Dushanbe

From April 10-14, 2023 the II International Conference "Russian World of Asia" is being held in Dushanbe. The event is dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language in the CIS countries. The conference is supported by the Russian House in Dushanbe.

The event is attended by teachers, students and graduate students from Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Among the main topics of the meeting are the development of common solutions on the teaching and popularization of the Russian language and literature abroad and the intensification of cooperation between specialists in the field of Russian studies. Participants will also discuss digital technologies in education.

The remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library opened in 2011 at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Dushanbe today allows guests of the Russian House learning about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russian House will learn about the collection Russian Language from the Presidential Library’s electronic holdings. It includes more than 1,100 depositary items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, archives, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.

Guests of the Russian House have an opportunity to learn about the collection of the Presidential Library Tajikistan: Geography, Ethnography, History. It includes geographical essays and ethnographic studies of the period when Tajikistan became part of the Russian Empire, as well as photographs and fragments of newsreel dedicated to the Pamir expeditions of the 20-30s of the last century.
