Intellectual game for schoolchildren held at the Tomsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library marking Cosmonautics Day

As part of the celebration of Cosmonautics Day, specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library held an intellectual game for schoolchildren "PROSTO COSMOS".

Seven teams attended the event. These are senior pupils of general education schools in the city of Tomsk. All of them are winners of the qualifying round which was held from April 4-11, 2023 at the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library and educational institutions of the city.

The intellectual game consisted of seven rounds. The teams that took the first three places were awarded memorable prizes.

According to the organizers, the main purpose of the event is to popularize the history of the development of domestic cosmonautics.

The Presidential Library's portal features the Outer Space collection. It contains fragments of newsreels, books, commemorative medals, badges and other materials that spotlight various milestones in the history of the development of astronautics.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Tomsk Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents of the 19th–20th centuries: essays, statistical, cartographic and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region.
