Trees in memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War planted in Egypt

The activists planted six trees in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War in the Orman Botanical Garden in Giza, Egypt.

The event was held as part of the international action "Garden of Memory". It was attended by employees of the Russian House in Cairo, representatives of the public movement "Volunteers of Victory in Egypt", schoolchildren, teachers and leaders of the general education school at the Russian Embassy, as well as members of the Youth Club at the Russian House in Cairo.

The head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Egypt, Marat Gatin, emphasized that the purpose of the event is to preserve and pass on the memory to the younger generation, to teach them to take care of their small Motherland.

The remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library opened in 2022 at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Cairo, today allows guests of the Russian House to learn about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russian House will learn about the collection Russian Language from the institution's electronic holdings. It includes more than 1,100 depository items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, archives, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.

Guests of the Russian House have an opportunity to learn about the materials on the history of relations between Russia and Egypt, which are available in the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russia - Egypt: the History of Relations.
