The Presidential Library addresses the participants of the Leonardo-2023 All-Russian Festival

The Presidential Library has congratulated the winners of the Leonardo-2023 All-Russian Festival of Creative Discoveries and Initiatives.

On April 25 the students of Moscow schools, winners and prize-awardees of the festival, examined the historic building, which currently houses the Presidential Library’s reserve center.

The guides told the winners of the festival about the ambitious architectural project initiated at the beginning of the 20th century by the wealthiest industrialist of the Russian Empire, Nikolai Vtorov.

Here, on Slavyanskaya Square, the children were introduced to the activities of the information and educational center of the Presidential Library, the work of its electronic reading room and the possibilities of the institution's portal. Denis Cheremisin, Deputy Director of the Department for Work with Federal Organizations, Director of the Reserve Center, congratulating the children, noted: “The Presidential Library is a national, public and digital resource that provides the history of our country based on specific archival documents. One has an opportunity to use this resource for study and practical work. The doors of the Moscow branch of the Presidential Library are always open for you, your parents and friends”.

Over the years of its activity, the Presidential Library has implemented a number of its own scientific and educational projects to popularize the Russian language, law and history. Exciting multimedia lessons, Video lectures, the project Video lectures for school are available for schoolchildren and students who can try their hand at the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad in the Russian language, history, and social science. For foreign schoolchildren and students, the Olympiad is held on the subject Russian as a foreign language. A variety of virtual tours, videos on the Rutube-channel of the Presidential Library are in great request. The children's website of the President helps schoolchildren to learn about the institution of the presidency and the state structure of the country in an accessible format.

Moscow School № 1409 initiated the Leonardo Festival of Creative Discoveries and Initiatives. The success of the project and the support of partners made it possible to expand it to the all-Russian level, and now the final stage of the festival is taking place in Moscow. The co-organizers of the project are also Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy).

The Presidential Library’s reserve center regularly takes part in the scientific and educational life of the capital. Being the initiator and partner of various events, the Moscow branch of the Presidential Library is open to cooperation in the field of education, science and culture.
