Kurgan Regional Center of the Presidential Library summed up the results of the regional MOI KRAI Olympiad

From April 1 to April 30, 2023 the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library held the third stage of the regional local history MOI KRAI Olympiad. Schoolchildren of 8-11 grades and students of secondary specialized educational institutions took part in the contest.

The MOI KRAI Olympiad was held with the support of the Department of Culture of Kurgan Region, the Department of Education and Science of Kurgan Region, the Kurgan State University and the regional branch of the Russian Historical Society in Kurgan Region.

The tasks of the Olympiad were based on the materials from local history publications, including those in the collections of the Electronic Library of the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library and the Presidential Library.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Kurgan Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, statistical essays, studies, cartographic and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
