Issues of developing a regional network of remote access centers to the resources of the Presidential Library discussed in Ryazan

Within the framework of the IX Scientific and Practical Conference Corporate Projects: Problems, Prospects, Priorities, held at the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library organized a session Development of a regional network of remote access centers to the resources of the Presidential Library: results, goals and perspectives.

The event, which was held in a face-to-face format, was attended by representatives of the Presidential Library (St. Petersburg), the Ryazan Regional Center of the Presidential Library and regional remote access centers.

During the professional dialogue, the meeting participants exchanged experience. It was about using the resources of the Presidential Library in the framework of providing research work and in the preparation of various thematic events by specialists from regional libraries.

Valeria Malakhovskaya, Deputy Director of the Department for Work with Regions, Head of the Department for Coordinating the Regional Network of the Presidential Library addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

To date more than 1,500 remote access centers to the resources of the Presidential Library have been opened in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 33 foreign countries. Their visitors have an opportunity to learn about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic holdings. Remote access centers are based on Rossotrudnichestvo offices and national libraries.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Ryazan Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, studies, essays, as well as statistical, reference, cartographic and audiovisual materials covering various aspects of the region's development.
