Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library celebrates its 10th anniversary

The Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year was opened on May 14, 2013 at the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library. This anniversary date was dedicated to a festive event, which took place in the Pushkin Library on May 30, 2023.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Tambov Region, the Presidential Library (St. Petersburg), the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation as well as the New Jerusalem Foundation.

The ceremony included congratulations made by the Director General of the Presidential Library Yuri Nosov. Welcoming speeches were addressed to the participants by Valentina Ivlieva, representative of the Ministry of Culture of Tambov Region; Director of the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Lyudmila Pronina; the first head of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, currently a representative of the Department for Work with the Regions of the Presidential Library (St. Petersburg), Natalia Makarova; Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Tambov branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Political Sciences Igor Sanzharevsky; President of the New Jerusalem Foundation Hegumen Feofan (Mikhailov).

A presentation which spotlighted the activities of the Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library was made for the audience.

The event summed up the results of the work of the Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library for a 10-year period.

It should be noted that to date more than 1,500 centers for remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library have been opened in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 33 foreign countries. Their visitors have an opportunity to learn about the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic holdings, which contain hundreds of thousands of digitized copies of rare archival documents that spotlight the history of our country and make up its cultural heritage.
