Educational and game hour in the Birobidzhan Regional Centre of the Presidential Library dedicated to Andrei Nikolayevich Tupolev

Specialists of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library based on the Sholem Aleichem Birobidzhan Regional Universal Scientific Library held an educational and game hour Wings for the Motherland, which was dedicated to the 135th anniversary of Andrei Nikolayevich Tupolev, the great Russian aircraft designer and organizer of domestic aviation production. The event was attended by children from the summer camp of the MOST Youth Centre.

The participants learned about the biography of the outstanding designer, explored the history of domestic aviation, and also viewed a video about the activities of the Tupolev Design Bureau.

The children were able to try themselves as pilots by completing tasks for attention and knowledge of aircraft. The participants also had to answer the quiz questions. In addition, the young people made paper airplanes, which they tested in action.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Jewish Autonomous Region: Pages of History. It includes official documents, research studies, essays, photographs and other materials covering various aspects of the history of the formation of Jewish Autonomous Region in the 1920s-30s and its development at the beginning of the 21st century.
