Winners of the “My Good Business” competition awarded at the Presidential Library

On June 14, 2023, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the All-Russian competition of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship and socially oriented non-profit organizations My Good Business took place in the Presidential Library subordinate to the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation.

The event was organized as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The award ceremony was attended by Tatyana Ilyushnikova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyakina, Deputy Head of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Stroyev, Rector of the State University of Management, Anton Kolpakov, Vice President of Promsvyazbank, representatives of the Our Future Foundation for Regional Social Programs, regional and federal government authorities, and others honored guests.

The main purpose of the My Good Business competition is to search, identify and popularize the best projects and practices of social entrepreneurship entities aimed at achieving socially useful goals.

As noted by Tatyana Ilyushnikova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation: “The results of the My Good Business competition show that social business in Russia is growing not only quantitatively – in recent years the number of social enterprises has tripled – but also qualitatively”.

The competition is attended by small and medium-sized businesses and socially oriented non-profit organizations. The competition consists of three stages: one regional and two federal stages.

2578 projects from 79 subjects of the Russian Federation took part in the 2022-2023 competition. Of these, 2,133 projects are representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, and 345 are representatives of the NPO sector. 60 projects made it to the finals.

At the ceremony in the Presidential Library, awards were presented to 36 winners of the My Good Business competition.

The winners include the Salyut Ortho Medical Centre from Republic of Buryatia, which implements innovative prosthetics technologies; the Sabrinovo Network of Geriatric Centers project of Moscow Region; the Electric Train project of Tver Region – a single centre for people with disabilities, where several support areas are combined: wheelchair repair, cleaning, hairdresser, helpline, leisure activities and other.

The All-Russian competition of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship has been held by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation since 2015. This year The Best Social Project of the Year competition was renamed into the All-Russian competition of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship and socially oriented non-profit organizations My Good Business. The operator of the competition this year was the State University of Management.
