Simferopol schoolchildren learned about the “President of Russia – For School-Age Citizens” portal

On June 19, 2023, the Crimean Regional Centre of the Presidential Library based on the Franko Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library hosted an educational event for pupils of summer school camps in Simferopol. The children were presented with the President of Russia – For School-Age Citizens website. The students were also introduced to the portal’s section dedicated to the Presidential Library.

Young readers made an exciting journey through the pages of the website, becoming participants in the School of Presidents interactive game. The children learned how to become the President of our country, what duties the head of state performs, how the state power is organized in the Russian Federation.

The event ended with a sightseeing tour of the Franko Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Crimea in Postcards. It contains 850 postcards from the end of the 19th – first half of the 20th centuries. The materials of the collection are organized according to the geographical principle and are arranged alphabetically based on geographical names of settlements. Inside the sections, the postcards are put into thematic groups dedicated to the sights of a particular area. Materials from the holdings of the Children’s Postcard Museum were used in preparing the collection.
