The Presidential Library’s student works contest comes to an end

On June 30, 2023, the Presidential Library finishes accepting term papers, final qualifying papers, articles, reports and other research materials for the contest of student works.

The main objectives of the contest are to draw attention to the history of Russian statehood, culture and the Russian language, to develop students’ skills in conducting scientific research using archival documents and other materials from the Presidential Library’s electronic collections.

The main condition for participation in the contest is the obligatory use of at least three sources from the Presidential Library’s electronic collections, which contain more than a million depositary items. These are book publications, archival documents, periodicals, photo, audio and video materials in various disciplines, including Russian history, law, Russian language, geography, art history and many other areas.

Students attending universities in Russia and foreign countries, regardless of citizenship, place of residence and study, course of study, educational program of higher education, have an opportunity to forward their research papers.

The materials will be evaluated by the jury in the following nominations: the Best Term Paper using the Presidential Library’s Electronic Collections; the Best Graduation Qualification / Diploma Work using the Presidential Library’s Electronic Collections; the Best Research Paper using the Presidential Library’s Electronic Collections.  

The contest participants can submit no more than one work in each of the nominations.

The competition materials are accepted until June 30, 2023 inclusive. At the award ceremony, which will take place in November 2023, the winners will be awarded diplomas.
