Philosophy issues discussed with students at the Ryazan Regional Centre of the Presidential Library

On June 21, 2023, the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library based on the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted a scientific seminar, where the place of philosophy in the spiritual life of man and society was discussed.

The participants of the event were first-year students of the Faculty of Economics of the Institute of Training of State and Municipal Employees of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, who are now preparing for the philosophy exam.

The seminar covered the topic of understanding spiritual values. Representatives of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library and the Ryazan Orthodox Theological Seminary, as well as teachers and associate professors, took part in the discussion.

In her speech, Marina Tyabina, Head of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, highlighted the role and place of the library’s treasures in the spiritual development of a person, in his movement towards perfection.

The Presidential Library’s portal also features the collection Ryazan Region: Pages of History. It contains archival documents, research studies, essays, statistical, reference, cartographic and audiovisual materials covering various aspects of the region’s development.
