Russian literature presented at the Beijing International Book Fair

The Russian House in Beijing presented Russian literature at the Beijing International Book Fair 2023. The visitors of the event learned about the products of Russian publishing houses, as well as translations of works by classics and modern authors into Chinese.

A creative meeting with Russian writers Alexey Varlamov, Pavel Basinsky and Yuri Nechiporenko took place at the joint stand of the Russian House in Beijing and the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

Specialists of the Russian House in Beijing told the participants of the fair about the main directions of their activities, including Russian language courses for children and adults. In addition, an exposition of folk crafts and a lecture about the history of their origin were presented to the guests.

The centre of remote access to the Presidential Library’s information resources, opened in 2010 and based on the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Beijing, today allows guests of the Russian House to explore all the variety of collections of the library’s electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russian House will be interested in the collection Russian Language from the institution’s electronic holdings. It contains more than 1,100 items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian writing, archival cases, scientific works, dictionaries, reference books, textbooks, and much more.

Guests of the Russian House also have an opportunity to study materials about the history of relations between Russia and China, which are included in the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russia – China: the History of Relations.
