Cultural and educational evening dedicated to St. Petersburg held at the Russian House in Chisinau

The Russian House in Chisinau hosted a joint meeting of the Pushkin audience and the historical and literary club of the Russian community "Russia - Moldova: people, events, facts"  which was dedicated to important dates in history and culture.

The cultural and educational evening "The Bronze Horseman" was dedicated to the 320th anniversary of the city of St. Petersburg and the 190th anniversary of the poem by Alexander Pushkin "The Bronze Horseman". Opening the meeting, the curator of the Pushkin Auditorium, Olga Batayeva, invited those present to take a virtual tour of the northern capital and its picturesque suburbs, watching a short video about St. Petersburg.

Among the numerous guests who came to the Russian House were residents of besieged Leningrad. On behalf of the audience, the chairman of the Russian community, Lyudmila Laschenova, expressed her deep respect and gratitude to them.

Since 2012 a remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library has been opened at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Chisinau. 

Guests of the Russian House have an opportunity to learn about a major electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russian Language.

The collection dedicated to the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation was formed by September 1, 2013 and includes 539 depository items. In July 2015, the collection was significantly enlarged; at present, its volume is 1176 depository items.

The collection includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian literature, archives, research papers (including dissertations
and thesis), dictionaries and reference books, textbooks of various types and levels.
