I am sure that the difficulties that will be on your way will not break you, but will only make you stronger. Let the words of the oath taken today be confirmed by your daily selfless service for the good of the Fatherland”, - Viktor Melnik emphasized.

The chairman of the St. Petersburg regional branch of the All-Russian Organization of Veterans and Pensioners of the Prosecutor's Office Feofil Alexandrovich Kekhiopulo addressed the audience with parting words and wishes of success.

The historical past of the building of the Presidential Library, which is located in the ensemble of the former building of the Senate and the Synod, gave a special solemnity to the event. It was here that since 1834, after the construction of the building was completed, the Prosecutor Generals of the Russian Empire sat in session.

Young prosecutors vowed to abide by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, protect the interests of citizens and the state, defend the requirements of the law and uncompromisingly fight against any violations of it. According to the established tradition, for the purpose of state-patriotic education, at the end of the oath for young specialists, they had a tour dedicated to the most significant anniversaries and topical issues in the history of Russian statehood.
