A project for Russian compatriots "Summer with Russia" launched in Kyrgyzstan

A project for Russian compatriots “Summer with Russia” has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. Within its framework, children from 8 to 15 years old came to the camp on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul to take part in sports competitions and creative contests for the knowledge of their historical homeland.

On the first day, the children had a literary contest dedicated to the fairy tales of Alexander Pushkin. The children also tested their knowledge of the historical and cultural sights of Russia.

The project has been organized with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyz Republic, and the cultural program was organized by the public association Chaika and the Russian House in Bishkek.

The remote access center to Information Resources of the Presidential Library opened in 2011 at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bishkek, today features the whole variety of collections of the library's electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russian House have an opportunity to learn about the collection Russian Language from the institution's electronic holdings. It includes more than 1,100 depository items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, archives, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.

Guests of the Russian House can also learn about the materials on the history of relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, which are available in the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russia - Kyrgyzstan: the History of Relations.
