On September 8, 2023, the Presidential Library, subordinate to the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, and Vladivostok State University signed a new cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by the library’s Director General Yuri Nosov, and the rector of the university, Tatyana Terentyeva. The signing ceremony took place on the eve of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum, which this year is held from September 10-13.

The subject of this agreement is long-term cooperation aimed at developing and forming a single information space, strengthening patriotism, preserving and popularizing the historical and cultural heritage of Russia.

As part of the agreement, representatives of Vladivostok State University will hand over to the Presidential Library a digitized archive of the journal "Territory of New Opportunities. Bulletin of Vladivostok State University" (issues from 2009 to 2023) and the archive of the journal “Oikumena” (issues from 2006 to 2023).

“Conclusion of this agreement will open for our readers the opportunity to learn about the studies of the university staff”, - said Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, in his welcoming speech. “We agreed not only to exchange information resources, but also to implement scientific, educational, cultural and educational programs and projects”.

“The agreement opens up new prospects for our university not only in educational and scientific activities, but also in educational work with students. We will use the colossal information resource of the Presidential Library to form a civic-patriotic consciousness among young people. Today, this is one of the most important state tasks”, - said the Rector of VVSU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Tatyana Terentyeva.

The agreement provides for the organization of conferences, workshops, exhibitions and other events, as well as the production of printing, audiovisual and multimedia products.

The Presidential Library and Vladivostok State University have been actively developing partnerships since 2017, from the moment the first cooperation agreement was signed. In the same year, a remote reading room of the Presidential Library was opened at the VVSU, thanks to which students and teachers received full access to the national electronic repository.

For the Presidential Library, interaction with higher educational institutions is one of the key areas of the activity. To date, cooperation agreements have been concluded with more than 180 universities of Russia.
