Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra hosted the implementation of the “Presidential Volunteers” project

On September 19, 2023, specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on of the State Library of Yugra shared their experience in implementing the “Presidential Volunteers” project with library specialists and representatives of the education sector. The webinar brought together more than 100 people. Methods of organizing and conducting volunteer events were discussed.

Let us recall that in June 2023, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Presidential Library and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra signed a plan of joint activities to use the information and educational potential of the library in the region for 2023–2025. This made it possible to expand the activities of the unique volunteer project “Presidential Volunteers” which was created in 2018 and has already introduced more than a thousand schoolchildren to the library’s resources.

The webinar participants were addressed by the director of automation of the State Library of Yugra, Yulia Kim, and the head of the regional center of the Presidential Library, Irina Grokhotova. Representatives of educational institutions spoke about practical experience in implementing the project. Anastasia Tumaeva, a student of school № 3 and a participant in the “Presidential Volunteers” project, also made a report.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area - Yugra: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical and audiovisual materials covering various aspects of the region's development in different historical periods.
