International Russian Language Week “East-West” held in Turkey

The event brought together teachers of Russian as a foreign language from more than 20 countries in Istanbul. The participants exchanged experiences and teaching methods.

The organizers of the International Russian Language Week were Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian House in Ankara, the Russian Language Institute of the Patrice Lumumba People's Friendship University of Russia, Ibn Khaldun University in Istanbul and the Association of Russian Teachers and Translators of Turkey.

The remote access center to information resources of the Presidential Library, opened in 2014 at the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Turkey, today provides the entire variety of collections of the library’s electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russian Center for Science and Culture have an opportunity to learn about the Russian Language collection from the electronic holdings of the Presidential Library. It includes more than 1,100 depository items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian writing, archives, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.

Guests of the Russian House can also learn about the materials about Russian-Turkish relations, which are available in the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Russia – Turkey: the History of Relations.
