Students from Penza and Sakhalin Regions learned about the Presidential Library Olympiad “Russia in the Electronic World”

On October 23, 2023 the Lermontov Penza Regional Library based on the Regional Center of the Presidential Library hosted an intellectual tournament that was held via teleconference between students from Penza and Sakhalin Regions.

The event was timed to coincide with the start of the annual interactive Olympiad of the Presidential Library in history, social studies and the Russian language Russia in the Electronic World based on its archival assignments.

The absolute winner of the tournament was the “Islanders” team from Sakhalin Region. The diplomas were presented to them by representatives of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Sakhalin Regional Universal Scientific Library.

Let us recall that the Presidential Library became the only library which information resources were included in new history textbooks for senior pupils. Of all the Internet links in the publication, more than 15% of QR-codes lead to the Presidential Library’s collections, which contain more than 15 thousand documents and materials on the history of Russia. The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
