Chelyabinsk residents became the winners of the intellectual tournament “Go on, smart guys and smart girls!”

On October 20, 2023 the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the interregional intellectual tournament “Go on, smart guys and smart girls!” The organizer of the event is the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library.  

This tournament is a kind of “test run” for senior pupils planning to join the annual interactive Olympiad “Russia in the Electronic World”.

Fourteen teams from different cities - Penza, Kurgan, Omsk and Chelyabinsk - answered questions on the history of Russia, social studies and the Russian language via video conference. The curator and presenter of the event was Olga Vladimirovna Perepelkina, the specialist of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library.

The main objective of the contest was to introduce students to dealing with archival sources on history, as well as the theory and practice of Russian statehood. Tournament participants were able to fully use the electronic collections of the Presidential Library, which contain more than a million digitized documents.

At the end of the contest, all teams received certificates for participating in the intellectual tournament “Go on, smart guys and smart girls!”, and “Vatakat” received a diploma of the absolute winner.

In addition, the interactive Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World is held by the Presidential Library jointly with the National Research University Higher School of Economics with the organizational support of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and the North-West Institute of Management - a branch of RANEPA.
