The Presidential Library spotlighted the constitutional foundations of social protection of people and citizens

As part of the video lecture Knowledge of Russia, a lecture “Constitutional foundations of social protection of man and citizen in the Russian Federation” was held on November 9, 2023 in the Presidential Library. It continued the series of lectures related to the theme of the Presidential Library collection “Man, his rights and freedoms - the highest constitutional value”.

Vadim Vasilievich Mamonov, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of State Law of Pushkin Leningrad State University joined the video lecture.

The discussion was about the constitutional nature of social protection for everyone in the Russian Federation, about social solidarity, its relationship with economic and political solidarity. The following types of social protection were considered: social security, social services, social guarantees, social assistance, social insurance, social partnership and charity. The executive authorities providing social protection of people and citizens in the Russian Federation were presented.
