The Presidential Library attended the International Library Conference in Minsk

The Presidential Library's delegation, subordinate to the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, attended the International Conference “Information Culture and Information Technologies: The Role of Presidential Libraries”.

The conference took place in Minsk on December 7, 2023 as part of the festive events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Presidential Library of Republic of Belarus.

“Your library is one of the most important information, bibliographic and scientific centers of the Commonwealth of Independent States”, - Yuri Nosov, director of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library, emphasized in his welcoming speech at the opening of the conference. “You do a lot of work to provide information to the activities of the President and government bodies, and provide assistance in maintaining the culture and national identity of the people of Belarus”. 

Specialists of the Presidential Library made presentations at the International Conference. Acting director of the department for library interaction of the Presidential Library Yulia Selivanova spoke about the library as an intellectual and cultural center of attraction, and senior methodologist of the department for international interaction of the department for library interaction Lyubov Zavyalova summed up the results and outlined the prospects for international cooperation of the Presidential Library libraries in the Eurasian space.
