On December 8, 2023 during the days of RUSSIA EXPO in Moscow, a ceremony was held to honor the winners of the international contest “Best Russian School Abroad” of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The contest coordinator is the Center for International Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Education.

School principals and international teachers from more than 20 countries attended the award ceremony. The national finals of the contest were held in the countries with the largest number of participants - Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and Egypt. A total of 840 teachers from 54 countries joined the contest.

According to Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, in a video message, “thanks to the contest, each participant was able to demonstrate their creative potential, exchange practical experience, and also get acquainted with pedagogical ideas in the field of the Russian language, culture and science”.

Yuri Nosov emphasized that the Presidential Library and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation actively develop cooperation. During the Year of Teachers and Mentors, numerous educational and outreach projects were successfully implemented. All of them are aimed at creating a single information space in the field of the history of Russian statehood, strengthening spiritual and moral values among the younger generation and youth, preserving historical memory and countering the falsification of history.

Of great importance is the development of unified history textbooks, from which this academic year senior pupils began to study the history of Russia and world history. Internet links (QR-codes) to information resources of the Presidential Library are included in textbooks. In one click, all readers can access thematic collections, the total volume of which is more than 15 thousand depository items.

The Presidential Library traditionally implements a large number of educational projects for young people. Among them are the annual Knowledge Forum, a student work contest, the “Russia in the Electronic World” Olympiad, the “Knowledge of Russia” video lecture, multimedia lessons and other events.
