A series of events marking the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences launched in Crimea

As part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences, specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library are holding a series of events “Long live Russian science!” It is dedicated to outstanding scientists who have received the highest awards for achievements in the field of natural sciences and humanities.

The set of events opened with a virtual hour of interesting information about Dmitry Likhachev, a famous Russian literary scholar, specialist in the field of culture and history, public figure, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Thematic materials from the collections of the Presidential Library and the National Electronic Library were presented to the attention of users, introducing the biography of the scientist, his memoirs and letters, as well as works of different years on the history of ancient Russian and Russian culture, literature and art.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Academy of Sciences and the Formation of Russian Science. It includes official documents, archival and visual materials, research on the history of the Academy, anniversary publications, works of members of the Academy of Sciences and its periodicals.
