Schoolchildren from Penza, Petrozavodsk, Ulyanovsk, Volgograd and Simferopol joined the interregional intellectual tournament

Specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library held an intellectual tournament “Along the River of Time”. Its participants were senior pupils from several regions of the country. Together with children from Penza schools, pupils from Petrozavodsk, Ulyanovsk, Volgograd and Simferopol answered questions on the history of Russia. In total, more than 100 people gathered at five sites of the regional centers of the Presidential Library.

One of the quiz rounds included searching for sources on the Presidential Library's portal. Olga Perepelkina, a specialist at the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library, selected questions related to anniversaries and memorable dates in 2024, including the 225th anniversary of Pushkin and the 120th anniversary of the Russo-Japanese War. QR-codes in the tasks referred to several sources from the collections of the Presidential Library. All teams coped with the search for answers.

The outcome of the game was decided by a blitz round. The winners received a diploma and a prize from the library. The rest of the teams received certificates for their worthy participation in the tournament.

The Presidential Library's portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
