The Crimean Regional Center of the Presidential Library presents the interregional round table “Crimean Spring: 10 years of journey”

On March 18, 2024, our country will celebrate a significant historical event in modern history - the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. The anniversary of the Crimean Spring is always given special attention in all regions of the country, which indicates the cohesion and unity of the Russian people.

On the eve of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, on March 12, 2024 at 12.00 (Moscow time) the Crimean Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library will hold an interregional online meeting with the aim of disseminating knowledge about the history and development of Republic of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation, determining the historical relationship and prospects for interaction between the peninsula and other regions of our Motherland.

The organizer of the event is the the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library. 

The round table will feature speeches by government officials, managers and employees of cultural and educational institutions, scientists, researchers, local historians, and public figures from Simferopol, St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Kemerovo, Volgograd and Penza.

The event will be attended by Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Igor Arzhantsev, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Bobkov, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of the Administration of Simferopol Natalya Matyukhina, speakers from the Presidential Library, Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library, Vernadsky Tauride Academy of the Crimean Federal University, Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library, Lermontov Penza Regional Library, Children's Art School in Kemerovo.

Round table participants will discuss the historical background of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the main directions and results of the socio-economic and cultural development of Crimea over the past 10 years, tourism potential, effective socio-cultural ties of Republic of Crimea with the regions of the Russian Federation, all-Russian projects uniting youth (“Movement of the First” , GTO, etc.), international cooperation. They will also learn about the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Republic of Crimea: Pages of History. 

Informational addition to the event will be a thematic viewing of materials from the collections of leading electronic libraries in Russia, containing information about historical and socio-political events that took place on the peninsula, as well as materials about architectural monuments and the beautiful nature of Crimea.
