Teachers of Tomsk Region learned about the Presidential Library's resources

On March 20, 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Pushkin Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, was visited by history and social studies teachers - students of courses at the Tomsk Regional Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Education Workers.

The meeting participants were also introduced to the resources of the Presidential Library, told about the structure of its portal, collections, and main projects. Special attention was paid to the Olympiad in history, social studies and the Russian language “Russia in the electronic world”.

The presentation of the project “Presidential Library for Teachers: Teaching Using Primary Sources” aroused a great response. It contains lesson scenarios that based on the information resources of the Presidential Library, as well as materials from its collections, systematized by academic subjects and classes. In addition, the project presents the library’s electronic collections, which are included in a new unified history textbook for senior pupils.

The Presidential Library's portal features the collection “Tomsk Region: Pages of History”. It includes archival documents of the 19th–20th centuries, essays, statistical, cartographic and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region.
