The Ryazan Regional Center of the Presidential Library organized a literary meeting dedicated to Maxim Gorky
Specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library held a literary meeting with students - “Gorky in the heart of Russia”. The event was dedicated to the birthday of the writer Maxim Gorky. The meeting took place at the United Russia Public Support Headquarters.
Students learned about the life and career of the writer, playwright and public figure, his path to world fame - Gorky’s weighty, fair word was listened to both in Russia and throughout the world. Particular attention was paid to the creative heritage of Maxim Gorky and his circle.
The students were presented with an electronic exhibition based on the Presidential Library's materials. They saw rare photographs and portraits of Maxim Gorky, newsreel footage, and learned about critical articles and opinions of contemporaries about the writer’s works.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Maxim Gorky (1868–1936) which includes digital copies of books, periodicals, archival documents, postcards, photographs, as well as texts of his own works of art, articles and memoirs.
