Penza teachers learned about the resources of the Presidential Library intended for educational and extracurricular activities

On March 27, 2024, specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Lermontov Penza Regional Library held a workshop for history teachers “Using the content of the Presidential Library in educational and extracurricular activities”. The event was held as part of cooperation with the Institute of Regional Development of Penza Region.

The workshop was aimed at popularizing the electronic resources of the Presidential Library, which actively supports educational processes. Thus, of all the Internet links in the new unified history textbook for senior pupils, more than 15% of QR-codes lead to library collections. This fact makes it very relevant to hold training events for humanities specialists on the use of electronic content of the Presidential Library as additional material in history, social studies and local history lessons.

The teachers were also told about the Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad and held a quiz, the questions of which were prepared on the basis of her archival assignments.

The Presidential Library's portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
