The IX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Symbols of Russia: the Past and the Present” held in Ryazan

On April 11, 2024, the IX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Symbols of Russia: the Past and the Present” was held at the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library with the support of the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Library. The event took place within the framework of the V Interregional Youth Patriotic Forum “Science of Victory”.

The conference was attended by representatives of federal, regional and municipal authorities, specialists in the field of heraldry, library and museum workers, members of the journalistic community from 15 regions of the country: Moscow and Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Sochi, Mariupol, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Yekaterinburg, Donetsk, Krasnodar, Sevastopol, Kirov, Tver, Bryansk, Voronezh, Perm.

One of the sections of the electronic collection of the Presidential Library State Authority – Symbols of State Power – features symbols of state power. It represents Russian national and regional symbols, as well as legal documents that determine its form, content and use in different periods of Russian history. The section also includes special studies on heraldry.
