On the library's portal, students watched fragments of the newsreel "Yuri Gagarin. The first human flight into space", which captured the last minutes before the Vostok-1 spacecraft launch. The students learned a lot of interesting things about the history of our country's space exploration.

The On this day section of the Presidential Library's portal was shown to students. This section is an analogue of the calendar of significant dates and is dedicated to significant events and prominent figures of Russian history. Children learned that on October 4, 1957, the USSR launched the world's first artificial Earth satellite.

During the event, students took part in the interactive game "Space Battle". In addition, the children had a guided tour of the exhibition dedicated to Yuri Gagarin and Valery Chkalov in the Lermontov Regional Library.
