Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library hosted Victory Dictation

On April 26, 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Penza Lermontov Regional Library, became one of the venues for the International educational and Patriotic campaign "Victory Dictation". About 70 people tested their knowledge. These were high school students of Penza schools, university students and citizens.

The participants of the event were welcomed by Vladimir Obukhov, a member of the Presidium of the Regional Political council of the United Russia Political Party, coordinator of the Urban Environment project, and Dmitry Murashov, Scientific Secretary of the Penza Lermontov Regional Library.

This year, the tasks of Victory Dictation were dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege, the liberation of Crimea, Belarus, anniversaries of front-line writers, as well as other significant dates.

The participants of the event were able to see the exhibition "The Holy War of the Great People", organized at the Penza Lermontov Regional Library. Specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library also told the audience about the thematic sources and collections of the Presidential Library. In addition, during the event, the library's collection Memory of the Great Victory was demonstrated in the electronic reading room.

The Collection of digitized archival documents, film and photo materials World War II in archival documents is available on the Presidential Library's portal. On April 5, 2024, it was replenished with more than 250 documents from the key period of the Great Patriotic War on November 19, 1942 – November 7, 1944 from the resources of the State Archive of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents and the Federal Security Service of Russia. In addition to digitized archival documents, the Collection contains a list of major Internet projects, databases, other thematic online publications of documents, virtual tours about the history of the Second World War, developed by state institutions of the subjects of the Russian Federation and various organizations.
