Series of methodological meetings organized for specialists of the remote access centers of the Presidential Library of the Altai Territory
In 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, located at the Shishkov Altai Regional Universal Scientific Library, will host a series of methodological meetings for specialists from remote access centers of the Presidential Library in the Altai Territory - "Presidential Library in Altai."
The main goal of these events is to share practical experience in promoting digital resources and creating educational information products. By the end of the year, eight methodological meetings are scheduled.
In May, the Merzlikin Central City Library in Novoaltaysk hosted a series of events. Irina Kozhevnikova, Head of the Sector for Reference and Bibliographic Services, spoke about technologies for finding digital resources related to local history in the holdings of the Presidential Library. She also introduced the electronic collection Altai Territory: Pages of History of the library. The materials from the meeting (a video review of the collection of regional studies, a script, and a presentation) are recommended for use by participants in their work.
It should be noted that there are more than 1,700 remote access centers of the Presidential Library in Russia and abroad. Their visitors can learn about the entire variety of collections in the library's electronic holdings, which contains hundreds of thousands of digitized copies of rare archival documents that reflect the history of our country and constitute its cultural heritage. They can also become participants in various projects through these centers, which are located on the basis of national libraries and Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices.
