Practical seminars for specialists of the remote access centers of the Presidential Library held in Altai

In 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Shishkov Altai Regional University Library, continued the practice of holding field seminars for specialists from remote access centers of the Presidential library in Altai region.

On May 16, 2024, a workshop on "Digital Resources in Public Libraries" was held at the Central City Library in Aleisk. At the event, it was noted that the remote access center of the Presidential library in Aleisk had been operating since 2020 and was one of the leading centers in the Altai territory.

During the seminar, practical forms of working with the digital resources of the Presidential Library were presented. The participants learned about the technology of searching for materials in the library's collection. Special attention was given to the use of multimedia presentations, quests, and virtual exhibitions in their work. Issues related to social partnership development were also discussed.

Since 2023, field practical seminars for specialists from remote access centers of the Presidential Library in the Altai Territory have been conducted.It should be noted that there are more than 1,700 remote access centers of the Presidential Library in Russia and abroad. These centers provide visitors with access to the entire range of collections in the library's digital repository, which includes hundreds of thousands of digitized copies of rare archival documents that reflect the history of our country and constitute its cultural heritage. Visitors can also become participants in various projects through these centers, which are located on the premises of national libraries and Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices.

The Presidential Library's portal offers the Altai Territory: Pages of History collection for users. This collection includes archival documents, research papers, essays, reviews, audio-visual materials, and other resources covering various aspects of the region's development throughout different historical periods.
