In the year of the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, the electronic collection of the Presidential Library dedicated to the great Russian poet was updated with new documents.

The collection includes six volumes of Pushkin's Works (1855), which include materials from his biography, portraits, photographs from his handwriting, and drawings.

There are also several publications dedicated to anniversaries commemorating the poet, including the Collection of Articles about A.S. Pushkin (1899), published on the occasion of his 100th birthday. The mysterious story behind Pushkin's creation of the famous poem "Don't Sing, Beauty, With Me..." (1829) is described in Mstislav Tsyavlovsky's book Two Autographs of Pushkin (1914).

The research of the Russian writer and literary critic, Vikenty Veresaev, is of great interest. His works include a biographical sketch of The Life of Pushkin, a systematic collection of authentic testimonies from contemporaries, Pushkin in LifePushkin's Family, and a two-volume set, Pushkin's Friends, which recreates the literary and everyday lives of people in the poet's circle.

In addition to these works, musical scores of songs and romances based on Pushkin's writings were published in the collection Folk Art in 1937. Among the composers included in this collection, Mikhail Glinka, Pushkin's contemporary, takes the top spot.

Other items included in the collection are postcards, badges, and monuments related to Pushkin and his works.Unique recordings of materials from radio broadcasts hosted by Russian radio journalist Matvey Frolov, founder of the correspondent station of Union Radio in besieged Leningrad and member of the St. Petersburg Union of Journalists and head of the correspondent station for Central Television and Union Radio in Leningrad.

His special radio program is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin's birth and the opening of the Pushkin Lyceum Memorial Museum after the restoration of the building in 1969-1975. During these events, correspondent Matvey Frolov quoted from speeches by writer Vsevolod Vishnevsky and Chilean poet Pablo Neruda, as well as a radio performance by Lithuanian poet Eduard Mezhelaitis that was held in Leningrad in 1974.

After replenishment, the collection A. S. Pushkin (1799-1837) now contains more than 500 materials and is divided into four sections. The General Section includes articles by the scientific staff of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve "Mikhailovskoye" and various periodicals. This section is the largest and focuses on biographical materials about the poet. The section Works presents works that analyze the works of A. S. Pushkin and his significance in Russian literature. The section Memory of the Poet contains archival files, manuscripts, drawings by Pushkin, and other documents that commemorate the poet's life and work. Of particular note are the "Journal of Meetings of the Committee of Representatives of Literary and Artistic Societies", which were held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Pushkin's birth.

Also, documents covering the details of various solemn celebrations held in cities such as Arkhangelsk, Pskov and Kazan, as well as other cities in Russia are available on the portal. These documents include postcards and photographs of monuments dedicated to the poet and places associated with his life and work, both in different parts of our own country and in neighboring countries.
