Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library invites readers to take a web quest dedicated to A. S. Pushkin

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on Lermontov's Penza Regional Library, is inviting fans of intellectual leisure to participate in a web quest called Around the 'Sun of Russian Poetry' in its Orbit. The event is timed to coincide with the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin, the great poet, novelist, playwright, and creator of the modern Russian literary language.

The web quest will begin on June 6th, 2024 at 10 am Moscow time. Participants who complete it first will receive a book and diploma from Lermontov's Penza Regional Library as a prize. The winner will be announced on June 14th. However, during 2024, anyone can complete the web quest and receive an electronic certificate of completion. Answering the quiz questions, participants will discover interesting facts about the poet's life, read his works in a new light, and immerse themselves in pre-revolutionary publications that tell about the work of Alexander Sergeevich. The web quest tasks are based on sources from the Presidential Library's collection and materials from virtual tours of the Mikhailovskoe and Trigorskoe nature reserves.

The quiz contains 17 questions. If an answer is incorrect or incorrectly spelled, the participant will not be able to move on to the next question.

This event is aimed at increasing young people's interest in Russian literature, promoting the Presidential Library's and Penza Electronic Library's portals, and introducing them to the Presidential Library collection A. S. Pushkin (1799-1837).

Additionally, the Penza Region: Pages of History collection is available on the Presidential Library portal. This collection includes archival documents, essays, research papers, statistical data, and other materials that cover various aspects of the region's history.
