Topical issues of secondary vocational education development discussed at the Reserve Center of the Presidential Library in Moscow
On June 14th, 2024, a roundtable was held at the site of the Reserve Center of the Presidential Library in Moscow, as part of the First Interregional Conference titled "Development and Popularization of Secondary Vocational Education from the Perspective of the Competitive Movement". The conference, which is taking place in Moscow from June 12th to 15th, serves as a platform for discussing critical issues that affect teachers and the overall system of secondary vocational education.
This event was organized by Uchitelskaya Gazeta online publication and PJSC SIBUR Holding, with the support of the Presidential Library. Representatives from the Presidential Library, experts from technical schools, colleges, and higher education institutions, as well as teachers who have won the Russian contests "Master of the Year" and "Teacher of the Year", participated in the discussion on relevant topics related to the development of secondary vocational education.
One of the main topics discussed at the conference was the "Master of the Year" competition. The issues of professional growth for the participants, the promotion of the competition within the public sphere, the impact of participating in the competition on teachers' professional activities, and the development of post-competition initiatives were all considered within this topic.
Additionally, special attention was given to the role of digital technology in secondary vocational education and its use in classrooms with college and technical school students.
This first interregional conference, titled ""Development and Popularization of Secondary Vocational Education from the Perspective of the Competitive Movement" was an important step toward establishing an informational and meaningful framework that will assist young people in making informed decisions about their future careers.
The partners of the event included the online publication "Uchitelskaya Rossiya", the "Tobolsk Multidisciplinary College" and the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education.
