
Participants of All-Russian Graduation Ball at the State Kremlin Palace visited Reserve Center of the Presidential Library
On June 27th, 2024, students from the eleventh grade from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area went on an excursion to the Presidential Library's Reserve Center in Moscow. The students were chosen for their excellent academic performance and outstanding achievements in education and extracurricular activities.
On June 28th, they will have a significant event - the graduation ball at the State Kremlin Palace. The young guests were given a tour of the building that houses the Presidential Library Reserve Center, as well as information about the history and operations of Russia's first electronic national library.
The Presidential Library is a large multifunctional information, scientific, educational and cultural center under the jurisdiction of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation. Its main building is located in St. Petersburg, on Senate Square. The library has branches: Reserve Center in Moscow and in Tyumen region, as well as remote access centers for its resources on the territory of Russia and abroad.
The library's portal provides access to a wide range of materials, including books, periodicals, newsreels, photographs, educational and scientific films, archival documents, and video lectures featuring famous scientists and cultural figures. Visitors can also remotely watch documentaries, visit exhibitions, video lectures, and films produced by leading domestic film studios on the TV channel that operates around the clock.
One of the main areas of the Presidential Library's activity is interaction with regional institutions. On the library's portal, under the electronic collection titled Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area: Pages of History users can find studies, statistics, and archival materials from the second half of the 19th century, that describe the administrative, economic, demographic, and ethnographic conditions of the territory that is now part of the modern-day Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
