Director General of Presidential Library took part in awarding of diplomas to graduates of St. Petersburg State University

On July 12, 2024, Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, attended the solemn ceremony to award diplomas to graduates of St. Petersburg State University who had completed master's and postgraduate programs in Economics.

In his speech, he congratulated the graduates and noted that the cooperation between the Presidential Library and St. Petersburg State University had been successfully developing over the years, during which numerous joint projects had been implemented.

One of the most significant events was the exhibition "Artists - Graduates of the University", which was opened at the Presidential Library from April 5 to May 14, 2024, and dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the University. This year, the anniversary is being widely celebrated. Currently, visitors can view the exhibition on the Presidential Library's portal thanks to a virtual tour based on the exhibition materials.

The exhibition tells the story of the student years and work of famous artists who studied at the university over the years. Some of these artists include Antioch Kantemir, Ivan Turgenev, Nikolai Chernyshevsky, Alexander Blok, Olga Bergholz, Vasily Polenov, Alexander Benois, Nikolai Roerich, Sergei Diaghilev, and Igor Stravinsky, among many others. These artists are writers, poets, painters, musicians, and theater and cinema figures.

It is noted that students and teachers from St. Petersburg State University actively participate in conferences, video lectures, and other events organized by the Presidential Library. Four remote access centers to the information resources of the Presidential Library have been established on the university's campus. This allows users to access a vast collection of materials, including more than one million depository items, including books, periodicals, news reels, photographs, educational films, abstracts of dissertations, archival documents, and materials on the history of Russia, the theory and practice of law, and the Russian language.
