Moscow Regional Center of Presidential Library took part in the Open Day among libraries of Moscow region

On August 31st, 2024, the Moscow Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Moscow Provincial Library, participated in the events of the Unified Open Day in libraries in Moscow region. Its program introduced children and adults to the resources of the Presidential Library.

The main theme was family reading. A large exhibition titled Whole Family visits the Library was opened at the regional center. The exhibition featured materials from both the collections of the Moscow Provincial and Presidential Libraries, including books on education, books for joint reading, and publications on health and building a harmonious family. The exhibition also showcased images of families in Russian literature and art.

Along with guided tours of the exhibition and an introduction to Russian pedagogical literature, the staff of the regional center informed the participants about the specifics of working in the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library and searching for materials in its digital collection.

The event concluded at the Moscow Regional Center of the Presidential Library, with communication with readers and a traditional afternoon tea with sweets.

The Moscow Region: Pages of History collection is available on the Presidential Library's portal. The collection, comprised of official, statistical, topographical, cartographic, and other materials, provides an overview of various aspects of life in the Moscow region from ancient times until the beginning of the 20th century.
