Russian film Cheburashka shown to visitors of Russian House in Baku

5 September 2024

The screening of the film Cheburashka (2023), directed by Dmitry Dyachenko, took place at the Russian House in Baku. The event was timed to coincide with the start of the school year and was dedicated to the beloved character created by Eduard Uspensky.

Before the screening began, each guest was given an orange as a souvenir, as Cheburashka arrives in Russia in a crate filled with oranges in the film's story. As a citrus lover, Cheburashka climbed into the crate and fell asleep, hoping to enjoy the fruits.

This event was organized by the Russian House with the support of the Embassy of Russia in Azerbaijan, Roskino, and the Federal Foundation for Social and Economic Support for National Cinematography.

The center for remote access to information resources of the Presidential Library, which was opened in 2011 at the Russian House in Baku, allows guests to explore the diverse collections of the electronic library.

The Russian Language collection, which is available at the Russian Center for Science and Culture, includes more than 1,100 rare archival documents. These include manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, archival files, scientific papers, dictionaries, reference works, textbooks, and more.

Additionally, visitors to the Russian House can learn about the history of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan through the electronic collection Russia – Azerbaijan: From the History of Relations at the Presidential Library.
