
Presidential Library hosted video lecture on role of NKVD division in the defence of Leningrad in 1941
As part of the Knowledge of Russia video lecture series, the Presidential Library is continuing a series of talks on the history of our country's security agencies. The goal of this cycle is to promote a positive image of Russia and its domestic intelligence services.
On September 18th, 2024, the Presidential Library hosted a lecture on the role of the NKVD in defending Leningrad during the 1941 siege. Sergey Ratz, president of the State Security Officers' Support Fund, delivered the address.
During lectures on the history of security agencies, students learn about prominent figures, the most remarkable, interesting, and significant events in the Russian intelligence service's history; and about the primary activities of intelligence agencies.
