Presidential Volunteers project covers more and more regions of country

7 November 2024

The specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Yugra State Library, shared their practical experience with colleagues from other regional centers in implementing the patriotic project Presidential Volunteers.

The event took place online, and the relevant specialists were presented with the project's thematic website and methodological materials. The Regional Center has been implementing this initiative for over a year. Thanks to the project, more than a thousand schoolchildren in Khanty-Mansiysk have had the opportunity to learn about the richest collections of the Presidential Library and documents on the history and theory of Russian statehood. Additionally, ninety volunteer students held about one hundred events for 2,698 participants in the city.

To date, fifteen regional centers of the Presidential Library have joined the project: Khanty-Mansiysk, Buryatia, Omsk, Sakhalin, Yakutia, Yamal-Nenetsia, Altai, Pskov, Tambov, Kurgan, Moscow, the Crimea, Chuvashia, as well as regional centers in the Republics of Komi and Khakassia. This contributes to a wider reach and interaction with young people.

The Presidential Volunteers project is implemented within the framework of a roadmap signed in June 2023 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum between the General Director of the Presidential Library and the Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.
