Unified Day of Graduates of Russian universities held in China
The solemn event - the Unified Day of Graduates of Russian universities - took place at the Russian House in Beijing. It was organized jointly with the Chinese Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities and dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China and the 35th anniversary of the founding of Chinese Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities.
Representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in China, Chinese Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities staff, and the older and younger generations of graduates attended the meeting. Maxim Chernyshev, Advisor to the Russian Embassy, and Liu Zhengping, Deputy Chairman of Chinese Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, welcomed the audience.
Performances by graduates from different years were held during the event. The participants also enjoyed a festive concert organized by members of Chinese Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities and the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.
The electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, which was opened in 2010 at the Russian House in Beijing, allows guests to explore the diverse collections of the library's holdings today.
Visitors to the Russian Cultural Center may be interested in the Russian Language collection from the library's electronic holdings. This collection contains more than 1,100 rare archival documents, including manuscripts, historical writings, archives, scientific works, dictionaries, reference books, textbooks, and more.
Guests at the Russian House can also explore materials about the history of Russian-Chinese relations, which are featured in the Presidential Library's electronic collection titled Russia - China: the History of Relations.
