Penza librarians learned to work with resources of Presidential Library
The specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based at the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, organized an educational event as part of advanced training courses for librarians.
The relevant specialists were informed about the work with the portal of the Presidential Library and its content. In particular, collections such as State Authority, Russian People, Territory of Russia, Russian Language, as well as collections and resources dedicated to prominent figures and significant historical events, were presented. These materials can be useful for librarians in preparing various educational and anniversary events.
For example, in 2025, the 165th anniversary of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov will be celebrated. The Presidential Library's portal features a collection dedicated to this outstanding Russian writer - Anton Chekhov (1860-1904). This collection includes digital copies of books, periodicals, archival documents, postcards, photographs, texts of literary works, articles, letters, and other materials.
The library staff were also trained in how to conduct simple and advanced searches on the Presidential Library's portal.
Special emphasis was placed on video lectures, the TV Channel section, and the On this day sections. Additionally, the audience was informed about the possibilities and procedures for establishing electronic reading rooms based on regional libraries.
During the event, attendees were also introduced to the resources of the Penza Electronic Library, which is continuously growing. The collection Penza Region: Pages of History is accessible on the Presidential Library portal and includes archival documents, essays, research materials, and statistical data covering various aspects of the region's history.
