Information hours in Murmansk Regional Center of Presidential Library dedicated to Constitution Day of Russian Federation

On December 12, 2024, a special event dedicated to the Basic Law of the Country information hours was held at the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library. The event was attended by students of the N.E. Momot Murmansk Construction College and specialists from the Federal Register Department for the Murmansk Region.

During the event, thematic materials from the Presidential Library were presented to the audience, including its collection Constitution - Basic Law, which includes texts of the constitutions of various historical periods of the Russian state, such as the first constitution of the RSFSR (1918), three constitutions of the USSR (1924, 1936, and 1977), constitutions of RSFSR of 1925, 1937, and 1978, and the current constitution of the Russian Federation (1993). Additionally, original texts and editions of current constitutions from individual subjects of the Russian Federation were also displayed.

In addition, library guests participated in an interesting discussion and intellectual game called Under the Protection of the Law, and also answered questions from a thematic quiz.

On the Presidential Library's portal, visitors can take a virtual tour of the Constitutional Hall and explore the multimedia exhibition Constitutional Human Rights: From Projects to Practice, which is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of Russia's Constitution. The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in Russia. The multimedia display was based on materials from the Presidential Library archive and covers events from the 17th century to the present day.
