Materials of Presidential Library dedicated to peninsula presented in Crimea

22 January 2025

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library, hosted an educational event based on the materials from the Presidential Library's collection Crimea on postcards. The event was timed to coincide with the Day of the Republic of Crimea and took place as part of a meeting for teachers of history at secondary schools in Simferopol.

Guests were presented with a selection of postcards from the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century from the collections of the Postcard Children's Museum. These materials are organized geographically and are arranged alphabetically by the geographical names of the settlements. Within each section, the postcards are grouped according to thematic categories related to the sights of each area.

An important addition to the information was the introduction of the project Presidential Library for Teachers: Learning through Primary Sources, which allows teachers to learn about key educational initiatives and awareness-raising activities of the institution. The resources of the Presidential Library also provide assistance in educational work.

The Republic of Crimea: Pages of History collection is presented on the Presidential Library's portal. It includes archival documents, studies, essays, photographs, and other materials that cover various aspects of the peninsula's history from ancient times until the beginning of the 20th century.
