Presidential Library conducts web quest dedicated to Alexander Pushkin

10 February 2025

From February 10th to 24th, 2025, the Presidential Library invites readers to test their knowledge of the life and works of the great Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin, and take part in the online quiz Pushkin: Familiar and Unknown, organized by the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library.

The quiz will start at 13:00 as part of the conference-online event "Pushkin's Memorial Day at the Presidential Library" on February 10th, 2025. Anyone can answer questions about the poet on a special platform (https://forms.gle/3TjmdyLbEfYi3Ktv7). There are no age or location restrictions.

By completing the quiz, participants will learn about lesser-known aspects of Pushkin's life, explore pre-revolutionary writings about his work, and read memoirs from his contemporaries.

Questions based on materials from the Presidential Library and the Lermontov Penza Regional Library will supplement the tasks of searching for exhibits in virtual projects of the Pushkin State Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve and the Mikhailovskoye State Memorial Historical and Literary Landscape Museum.

Each question will be accompanied by links to useful sources that will lead you to the desired fragments of electronic books for searching. Suggested screenshots with hints will assist in working with exhibits of the virtual museums.

Winners of the webquest will be announced on February 25th, 2023. They will receive gifts from the Penza Regional Library, Presidential Library, and All-Russian Museum of Pushkin. Each participant will also receive a certificate for completing the web quest.

Materials from the electronic collection of the Presidential Library Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837) can be used to prepare for participating in the web quest. This collection includes digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, dissertation abstracts, videos, and other materials related to the poet's life and work, as well as the activities of the government to preserve his legacy.
