Presidential Library Take part in All-Russian competition of research projects "No Statute of Limitations" with Presidential Library

On March 1, 2025, the All-Russian competition for research projects No Statute of Limitations will start.

The competition was established by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation as part of the educational project No Statute of Limitations, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin and aimed at preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War among contemporaries.

Among the objectives of the competition are to increase the historical literacy of the younger generation, to form and develop the skills of searching and analyzing historical sources and scientific literature, and to master the techniques of joint research and project activities.

Students of grades 8-11 of educational organizations implementing educational programs of basic general and secondary general education, and students of educational organizations implementing educational programs of secondary vocational education (without age restriction) are invited to participate in the competition.

In the year of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the contest participants will present stories about the tragedy of the civilian population of the USSR, the victims of the war crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, choosing one of eight thematic areas.:

– planning and implementation of the genocide in the USSR by Nazi Germany: documents, figures and organizations;

– the abduction of Soviet civilians to forced labor in Germany as an act of genocide;

– places of remembrance of the genocide of the Soviet people committed by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945;

– trials in the USSR and the Russian Federation dedicated to the disclosure of the circumstances of the genocide of peaceful Soviet citizens during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945;

– creation of a system of concentration camps as a way to organize the genocide of the Soviet people (to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp);

– Condemnation of the genocide of the Soviet people in the history of international law (on the 80th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials);

– reflection of the genocide in archival documents – work with historical sources presented on the website of the No Statute of Limitations project (https://bezsrokadavnosti.rf);

– Crimes of Nazis and neo-Nazis: comparative studies.

The contest is held in four stages and on the following dates:

The internal organizational stage is from March 1 to March 31, 2025.;

The municipal stage is from April 1 to April 30, 2025.;

The regional stage is from May 1 to May 31, 2025.;

The federal stage is from June 1 to September 1, 2025.

Following the results of the contest, a collection of research projects of the winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian competition of research projects No Statute of Limitations will be published. The winners and prize–winners of the competition, together with teaching staff and project managers, will be invited to the award ceremony.

The Presidential Library develops active cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation within the framework of the signed agreement, participates in joint educational projects, including the project No Statute of Limitations. In addition, Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, joined the organizing committee of the competition.
